A SUCCESSFUL BOOK LAUNCH

A milestone launch of the book by Kampamba, a first person perspective of Kampamba’s experience as a young boy growing up as a member of the Lumpa Church. We are proud to have hosted the launching of such a profound and relevant book that will provide deeper insight into the clash between Alice Mulenga Lenshina, leader of the Lumpa Church, the UNIP cadres, traditional chiefs, churches and the Government of Northern Rhodesia, at the close of independence day in 1964 and accompany other Zambian Historical literature on the same. The book is available in hardcopy at our Library and being sold as well

ABOUT THE BOOK
“Blood on Their Hands” narrates the clash between Alice Mulenga Lenshina, leader of the Lumpa Church, the UNIP cadres, traditional chiefs, churches and the Government of Northern Rhodesia, at the close of independence day in 1964. The ensuing conflict led to many deaths and the dispersal of thousands of Lump Church members into DR Congo, Malawi and other neighbouring countries.
